John H. Moragne

John Moragne is a Senior Managing Director of Trident Capital, and has been with Trident since co-founding the firm in 1993. From 1989 to 1993, John was a Principal with Bain Capital, a leveraged buyout firm affiliated with Bain & Company, and with Information Partners Capital Fund, a private equity firm associated with Bain Capital and Dun & Bradstreet Enterprises. Earlier in his career, John was a management consultant with Bain & Company.

John is currently on the board of directors of Trident’s portfolio companies Array Converter, Appia, JiWire, Jobvite, Perigen, Sojern and Turn. He is also an Advisor to the Stanford University Clinical Excellence Research Center, a member of the Advisory Board of the Stanford University School of Earth Sciences and a member of the Board of Directors of Climate Central.

John’s past directorships include Chamberlin-Edmonds Associates (sold to CharterHouse Group), Datatel (sold to Hellman & Friedman), HomeAway (IPO: AWAY), MapQuest.com, Inc. (IPO; sold to AOL), Newgen Results Corporation (IPO; sold to Teletech Corporation (TTEC)), bamboo.com (sold to Internet Pictures (IPIX)), Daou Systems, Inc. (IPO: DAOU), Frisco Holdings, Inc. (sold in a management buyout), Internet Profiles Corporation (sold to CMGI), Medicode, Inc. (sold to Ingenix, now United Health Group), Resolution Health (sold to WellPoint (WLP)), and Vality Technology, Inc. (sold to Ascential Software (ASCL)).

John holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College, an M.S. from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
