Mark Iwanowski

Mark Iwanowski joined Trident Capital in 2005 as a Venture Partner and will be a Managing Director in Fund VII focusing primarily on CleanTech and Business Process Outsourcing. Mark has twenty-five years of experience successfully leading multiple global businesses in the high tech industry for both commercial and government customers. Mark was most recently Senior Vice President Global IT for Oracle Corporation. Prior to Oracle, Mark managed a Systems Integration, ASP and Outsourcing business for SAIC.

Mark was previously President of the R&D Division of Quantum Magnetics, an industry leader in explosive and illegal drug detection technology. Mark has also held executive positions with Raytheon and Honeywell.

Early in his career, Mark worked for Bechtel, involved in project engineering of large scale power plants and while working at the Jet Propulsion Lab was involved in various solar energy R&D projects for both terrestrial and space applications. Mark was also involved in pioneering use of high energy fuel cell and energy storage systems used in long range underwater systems at his first start up company, Applied Remote Technology.

Mark currently serves on the Board of Directors of several Trident portfolio companies including Neohapsis, MegaPath Networks, RoyaltyShare and Xunlight. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for TriCipher and formerly served on the Board of Advisors of Webify (acquired by IBM). He is also on the Board of Advisors of LignUp and MaxSP.

Mark holds a B.S. in engineering/business from the University of Pennsylvania, a master's degree in engineering from California Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from National University. Mark has received multiple management excellence awards throughout his career.
