Robert C. McCormack

Bob McCormack is a co-founder of Trident Capital, served as a Managing Director of the firm from inception through late 2004, and from late 2004 to the present has served as an Advisory Director to the firm. Bob has reduced his day-to-day responsibilities on behalf of Trident, but continues to add significant value with respect to both existing portfolio companies and potential new investments, as well as Fund strategic issues.

From 1990 to 1993, Bob served as the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management) and Comptroller of the Navy. From 1987 to 1990, he held several senior positions in the Office of the Secretary of Defense in Washington, D.C. From 1981 to 1987, Bob was a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley & Co. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Vice President with Dillon Read & Co.

Bob's current board memberships include DeVry, Inc. (DV), Illinois Tool Works, Inc. (ITW), Meadwestvaco (MWV), and Northern Trust Corporation (NTRS). He formerly served as a director of CCBN.com, Inc. (acquired by The Thomson Corporation (TOC)), CommSite International, Inc., The Compucare Company, Derivatech, Inc., Internet Securities, Inc., MapQuest.com, Inc. (MQST) (acquired by AOL), OnLine Interactive, Inc., PGI, Inc. (acquired by TBA Holdings, LLC) and the Revere Group, Ltd. (acquired by NTT Data Corporation).

Bob earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
