Taimur Shaikh

Taimur Shaikh joined Trident Capital in 2010 and is a Senior Associate in the Palo Alto office. Prior to joining Trident, Taimur attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Before business school, Taimur was an associate at Oak Hill Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm specializing in leveraged buyouts, where he was responsible for investments in their Media and Telecom group. Prior to Oak Hill, Taimur was an investment banking analyst in the Financial Sponsors Group at Lehman Brothers, where he worked on a variety of corporate finance and M&A transactions.

At Trident, Taimur has played a significant role in the firm’s investments in Advanced ICU Care, HealthMEDX and JiWire. He is actively involved in monitoring the firm’s Healthcare IT portfolio and is also a board observer for HealthMEDX.

Taimur holds a B.A. in Business/Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
