Matthew Chagan joined Trident Capital in 2007 and is a Principal focusing on investments in Software, Mobility and Adtech. Matthew is currently on the board of directors of mBlox and has served or is presently serving as a board observer at Appia, AccountNow, Bytemobile and Merchant e-Solutions. In addition, he was actively involved with Trident’s investments in Brightroll, 2Checkout, Sojern and Teladoc.
Prior to Trident, Matthew was a Vice President at SVB Alliant, the investment banking arm of Silicon Valley Bank. At Alliant, he worked on a variety of transactions in the software, communications and Internet sectors. Earlier in his career, Matthew was the Director of Finance at SOMA Networks, a wireless broadband systems company focused on selling hardware, software and services to telecom carriers. Before joining SOMA, he worked as an Associate in the Technology Investment Banking Group of Banc of America Securities.
Raised in Philadelphia, Matthew holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Colgate University where he graduated cum laude. Outside of Trident, Matt enjoys skiing, windsurfing and biking.
