Taimur Shaikh is a Vice President and has been with the firm since 2010. At Trident, Taimur focuses on the firm’s Healthcare IT investments and its broader growth equity transactions. He is on the board of directors of MedSave and is a board observer of HealthMEDX. Taimur also played a significant role in the firm’s investment in Advanced ICU Care and supports numerous other investments in the Trident portfolio.
Taimur began his principal investing career at Oak Hill Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm specializing in leveraged buyouts. At Oak Hill, he was responsible for investments in their Media and Telecom group. Earlier in his career, Taimur worked at Lehman Brothers, where he worked on a variety of corporate finance and M&A transactions in the Financial Sponsors Group.
He earned a B.A. in Business/Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He also earned an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Taimur grew up in Los Angeles, CA and Karachi, Pakistan. Outside of Trident, Taimur enjoys traveling, working out, discovering new restaurants with his wife and supporting his alma maters. Go Bruins and Cardinal!
